When: Wednesday, March 17, 2010 Time: 7pm Where: Suzette 2921 NE Alberta St. Portland, OR 97215 We are pleased to invite you to celebrate St Patrick's Day with us! We are going to watch a Salsa documentary and eat at Suzette, a funky little independent café serving the best crepes in Portland located in the Alberta Arts District. What a cool way to spend St. Patty's day... learning about the roots and history behind the dance we all love so much!! Dinner will include one crepe with ham and Monterrey Jack, one with sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions and goat cheese and a small salad. There is wine, coffee and tea available that you can purchase separately. Any information on dietary restrictions would need to be communicated within 48 hours of the event. The dinner and movie will cost $12 The documentary is called THE SALSA REVOLUTION. It illustrates how Puerto Ricans and other Latinos in New York reinvent Cuban and Puerto Rican rhythms, adding elements from soul and jazz to create salsa. We will learn about the rise and fall of legendary Fania Records with famed artists Willie Colón, Héctor Lavoe, and Rubén Blades. Come celebrate with us!! We look forward to seeing you!!
