 2010 is coming to a close and there will only be 2 more opportunities to take advantage of our Saturday Workshops. The Saturday Workshops are geared for individuals that would like some extra time in the studio and for those that are not able to commit to a monthly series of lessons. Our 2 hour format have been structured to provide you with the key fundamentals to learn the different styles of Latin dancing. Upcoming December Workshops Saturday, Dec. 11th - Transition from Beginners to Intermediate Salsa Dancer Saturday, Dec. 18th - Learn to Dance Salsa (Beginners) Time: 5pm-7pm Location: Lenora's Ballroom Studio 615 SE Alder St. (3rd Floor) Enter through the beige door on SE 6th Portland, OR 97214 Check out our Lessons & Workshops for complete details of the workshops. Our December 3 Week Series just started on the 5th & 6th, but you can still join in for the last two weeks before the holidays kick in. Come out and give yourself the gift of dance for an hour. NO PARTNER NEEDED. Learn to dance with fellow Meetup Organizer and one of the most recognized instructors in the Northwest, George Caceres of Sabor Latino. Saturday, September 11th - 2hr Salsa for Beginners Workshop In this 2 hour class, you will learn all the fundamentals of Salsa, including rhythm & timing, leading and following technique while learning the 3 basic steps, basic turns and 3-4 beginner partnering combinations. At the end of the class you will have learned enough material to make you feel like going dancing that same night. PRICE: $20 pre-registered / $25 @ the door.  Our September Dance Lessons begin this weekend. Our schedule has just been updated so visit our Lessons and Workshops page for full details. We have something for everyone... Beginning Salsa1 & 2 begin this Sunday, September 12th Our Monday lessons including Cha Cha Cha, Intermediate Salsa and Bachata begin on Monday, September 13th. Plus our Saturday workshops are back in full gear beginning with a 2 Hour Beginners Salsa Workshop this Saturday, September 11th from 5pm-7pm. Check out our schedule here. This time we would like to invite you to Learn the Art of Dancing "On2" Cha Cha Cha and Mambo! Its time to become one with the music by learning to find the TUMBAO rhythm to help you understand how to dance the sultry Cha Cha Cha and sizzling Mambo aka Salsa "on2". We will focus on rhythm, timing, and learning some smooth partnering to enjoy on the dance floor. Now is the time to learn to SALSA so that you can dance the night away at one of our upcoming events or when you venture out on your own.
